Why did this happen?

so in Alfina's back story she used to be a leader of forest fairies and she was loved by all who followed her but one day a horrible group of humans came and destroyed her home and all her fellow fairies either died or fled from the fires that spread. All Alfina could do was cry and watch as her home slowly disappeared in the flames, as the flames burned on, so did her hatred for humans begin to grow and thus she swore revenge.

After the flames died so did most of her heart and she soon changed her appearance and decided to try find a new home and a way to get her revenge.
